Kuih Ros / Kuih Goyang

Ingredients / Bahan2

150ml thick coconut milk (santan)
50ml water (air)
85gm castor sugar (gula kastor)
1 large egg (1 biji telur yg besar)
Pinch of salt (secubit garam)
100gm plain flour (tepung gandum yg diayak)
45gm rice flour (tepung beras yg diayak)
Enough oil for deep-frying ( minyak untuk mengoreng)
Ros mould (acuan ros/goyang)
Method/ Cara2nya

Combine coconut milk, water, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl.
(bancuhkan santan,air,garam dan gula dalam satu mangkuk besar)
Combine the flours and sift into the bowl.
(campurkan tepung2 lalu diayak bersama)
Mix everything gradually together until the sugar dissolves.
(campurkan bancuhan pertama bersama tepung sehingga gula larut)
Add the 2 large egg and stir again
(masukkan telur dan kacau seketika)
Strain the mixture to remove any lumps and leave aside to rest for 10-15 minutes.
(kemudian bancuhan tadi ditapis untuk mengelakkan iaya berketul2 dan dibiarkan
dahulu selama 10-15 min)
Heat oil in a small saucepan and place the kuih ros mould in the hot oil. Remove and dip three-quarters of the mould into the batter. Take it out and put the batter-coated mould into the hot oil, reducing the heat to low. Once the batter is semi-set, slowly release the kuih ros from the mould with a pair of chopsticks. Allow the kuih ros to fry in the oil until golden brown. Dish out and drain on several layers of paper towels. Leave them to cool then store in an airtight container.
(panaskan minyak terlebih dahulu dan rendam acuan ros tadi didalam minyak yang panas,setelah panas celupkan acuan tadi kedalam bancuhan tadi 3suku dan rendam kembali
ke dalam minyak panas goyang dgn pelahan2an sehingga ianya tertanggal.balik2kan dia dgn chopstik atau pengapit sehingga kekuningan lalu diangkat dan ditoskan diatas kertas dapur putih,setelah sejuk simpan ia dalam balang kedap udara.)
